About Kita Coffee Roasters
Kita Coffee Roasters began long before it had a name.
For nearly a decade, we lived and worked in Makassar, Indonesia, immersed in a coffee community that shaped the way we understand coffee today. During that time, we operated as Two Americanos Coffee Roasters, learning firsthand from farmers, roasters, and cafe owners who have spent generations perfecting their craft.
Those years did not just teach us how to roast coffee. They taught us how to think about it, how to value relationships, consistency, and the people behind every cup.
Now based in the United States, Kita Coffee Roasters is a continuation of that foundation.
Kita means "we" or "us" in Indonesian, a reflection of what coffee has always been to us: shared, communal, and bigger than any one person.
We are new to roasting in the States, but we are not new to coffee. Everything we do today is built on what we learned in Makassar, carrying forward the standards, the discipline, and the deep respect we have for the global coffee community.
Our goal is simple: source and roast exceptional coffee, and do it in a way that honors the people and places that made it possible.
Because coffee is better together.
